Child Health

Alison Aspinol is our Health Visitor: she is a qualified nurse with special training and experience in child health, health promotion and counselling. She, like the District Nurses, is employed by Northumberland Care Trust and is also an integral part of the practice and with other agencies like Social Services.  Her aim is to help you and your family lead as healthy a life as possible. She is assisted by Sara Welstead, our Nursery Nurse, who runs the baby club and co-ordinates health promotion in the practice.

They would be happy to give guidance on all aspects of health living in all ages, advice and support in the ane-natal stage, developmental checks for the under 5's, professional advice and support with parenting, counselling and support with personal and family problems and on-going help for families with young children.

The well baby clinic is held on 1st and 3rd Wednesday in the month between 10.00am and 12.00noon at North Tynies Children Centre, Bellingham Middle School. Any baby weighing required will be done in the community room at the baby club by Sara(Nursery Nurse)from 10am to 12.00 noon .  This is an open clinic so an appointment is not necessary.

Alison also sees patients who would like to stop smoking

Her direct telephone number is 01434 220651
